In a medium saucepan, place milk and dark chocolate. Place on stovetop over medium heat. Whisk until chocolate is fully melted.
Add brown sugar, cinnamon, and Abuelita hot chocolate mix. ( if desired) Whisk until everything is well incorporated.
Lower heat to low. Add wine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes while whisking. Turn off heat.
Place in mugs. Top with whipped cream, mini marshmallows, and colored sugars. Enjoy!
Because this recipe is made with dark chocolate, I used a fruity sweet wine to balance it out. If your wine is more bold and dry, use semi sweet chocolate or milk chocolate to add sweetness. The Abuelita hot chocolate can be found at your local market in the Hispanic section..
