Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken opened up a location in Los Angeles in June of 2016 on the corner of Crenshaw and West Pico. Since then, many people agree that it is one of the tastiest fried chickens in town. If you like spicy, you will love Gus’s.
Originating in Mason, Tennessee the chain has grown to 15 locations across the Unites States. It was even voted in the top 100 places to eat in the United States on Yelp for 2016.
The Los Angeles location is large and homey with checkered table cloths and large picnic tables. The space also has many televisions making it the perfect place to watch sports.
The Tennessee Style chicken is crisp and spicy, served hot and juicy on the inside. They have a large selection of sides. I chose the mac and cheese and baked beans.
My boyfriend decided to get the classic coleslaw and baked beans.
I loved it all. I highly recommend ordering the sweet tea and a side of fries with dipping honey.
